FYI...if you've never known a/d/s/ they owned PPI and Orion. When a/d/s/ was purchased by DEI in 2001 JL snatched up their eingineers. If that doesn't impress anybody, who else could lay claim to the biggest design successes in car audio? HCCA, W7, Art Series, Power Class, regulated power supplies. These are a big name people...these speakers debuted at ~$1200 in the late 90's.

Here's what their big brother looks like...from the PX series...
    336px series a/d/s/ $2k

    a/d/s/ 5-1/4" component speakers -- $225 shipped
-includes surface mount and angle mount tweeter cups
-crossovers are from 345is series which use the same materials as the px crossovers
-these speakers are in GREAT condition and never beat on

    a/d/s/ 4" component speakers -- $200 shipped
-includes surface, angle, and flush mount tweeter cups
-essentially new in box. Taken out several times to look at but never installed

a/d/s - MB Quart sounds rediculously entry-level in comparison....

    bet those sound amazing!!

Their car audio was equally legendary...sadly, only known by enthusiasts. I think they use to be found in porsche and range rover as OEM product?

Amazing loudspeakers, I really wish you still had that 5.25 set or larger though.
