Help: Electric Window Problems

1996 Jetta GLX - I recently removed all four door handles for paint, they were out for about 3hrs and I drove around with no handles during part of those 3 hrs. Later I get them bolted back in, hopped in my car and went to roll up my windows...nothing. Now They only roll down with the interior controls, but not up. Yet they all rolled back up by putting the key in the lock and holding to the right. This was not a problem before handle removal. I couldn't find any other info that seemed relevant to this issue... I'm just wondering if anyone has some insight. Thanks
