Coupe GT wont run

A friend of mine decided to wash his engine and has now run into some problems.
-The motor cranks and on occasion will fire but only momentarily
-I have checked all fuses and relays
At some some point in his cleaning process he removed the plug wires. I know the firing order but don't know where cyl 1 plugs in the dist.
Other than the ignition any ideas?

we got the plugs on the distributor in that order from the post above and it still wouldn't fire up.
Any ideas?
