Registered. I'll be coming down from Boise. This is a double bonus because I've got friends and family in the SLC area I'll visit. Actually, I'll bring them with.

I watched the video; this looks like a fairly family friendly event, true?

Agreed. I was told by someone in Colorado that they would have came out last year but the name turned them away.

And when I showed some people at my work they were kind of offended.

its understandable. telling your significant other that you are going to the euro slut fest generally requires some sort of explanation and starts the conversation off on the wrong foot.

and, Registered... I'm just going to tell my wife we are going to a car show, no need for names.

  10. 05-08-2012 06:16 PM #46
We understand the name thing can kind of be tricky. But at the same time, it's something that we agreed on in the beginning. If people are offended by it, then don't come. If you are easily offended by a inside joke, then who is to say that you're going to have any fun at all?

Being politically correct, I tell people, "Euro Salt Lake, Utah Fest" or "ESF". Believe me, there is nothing more awkward than dealing with close minded people of Utah, trying to explain the name.

Thanks to all of you for your support. We're working to get updates going regularly.

On a Side Note I'll be watching this... Should be making it down if I get 1 of the 3 cars put back together and road worthy by then...

    Update!

RaceCo and APR have stepped up to sponsoring the event!

We're are extremely excited to have them aboard. They have been an absolute delight and a big
proponent to ESF2012. We've been working extensively to make this truly a three day event that people
want to stick around for. So this year, we'll be out at Miller on Sunday doing AutoX, Go Carting, Food, Music and good times.

If you haven't already, please give US a like on facebook to keep up on updates as soon as they come out.

Also, give RaceCo and APR a like as well!

Thanks for all you patience and support!

Eurotuner is still running online and some of their features are making their way into European Car Magazine. I talked with one of their guys down at Wuste, he said the Wuste coverage was only going to make it to the website though, not to European Car Mag.

PVW is still around though. It's worth sending them a note.

Cant have open alcohol containers in public in Utah. But the plus side of that is no drunken fights and less people being a$$hats damaging other cars.

I was drinking last year. You just put your happy little beer in a beer cozy and call it your soda pop. Or if you like harder drinks why not mix one? Drink a little off the top of your coke and then fill back up to the cap with rum same with monsters and vodka. Growing up in Utah you find ways to enjoy an adult beverage under the oppressive Mormon thumb.

We've been working extensively to make this show appeal to every type of person that we can. Not that we can't appreciate the good times that people had drinking at Wuste, but we'd rather leave the drinking to the Wuste scene. Not to mention, most people have enough common sense to realize that cars and alcohol don't mix. I've been working too hard on this show to have one drunken idiot show up and ruin the show for the rest of us.

Agreed. It's more of a liability. We would rather not take the chances.

    This is perfectly acceptable.

I'm not touching this one. Just know that this year, we've got so many hoops to jump to make this work. We have to work with the police, fire, food, and waste department of SLC. Everything is being put on solely by Nico and I and any mishaps will put fines in our hands. So, we expect everyone to be on their best behavior.

we need a bunch of drunk @sshats so we can have a cool fight to upload to youtube like the Wuste one. The biggest story from Wuste this year was the fight.

I agree with Jordan, I am not a big fan of drinking and car events if anyone is driving. One reason I don't like to drive my car up to the Oktoberfest meets.

ok. i get your point, it's really hard to organize an event in utah. but the one fight at wust was nthing when you look at how many people were there. and that fight would have happened whether or not there was booze. just a couple guys that thought they had to bring there gangsta bull to a great car show. it could just as easily happen at sl,ut fest. just sayin.
