Pelfrey to DL. Elbow inflammation. Reports are may be more serious and may require surgery.

And Pelf to have Tommy Johns surgery.

I think we've seen the last of Mike Pelfrey in a NYM uniform

Fantastic ending to the game yesterday!

Scott Hariston first Met since Reyes in 06 to hit for the cycle, and it was by the 6th inning lol.

What a slug fest, they showed some fight to come back but Parnell blew it. Keep throwing heat over the middle kid...

Hey they sure as hell tried. I realize it's easy to "monday morning quarterback" but I don't know why Terry left Acosta in for the 8th.

Hopefully they can make a comeback tonight. If they win tonight worst case would be a 3-3 roadtrip which beforehand we all would have signed for.

Yep he got lit up. Anyone here think they can pitch? I hear there is no one behind him if Young isn't ready. I don't want to bring Harvey up yet but if this continues we'll be sunk with a 4 man rotation.

Mets signing of Francisco never made any sense to me.

Bullpen was bound to come back to earth but seems to only be Frank Fransisco. Who ever would have thought 7 shutout inning from Batista.

And what's with these two game series'?

I'm surprised as hell at Batista too. Seems like he's been pitching better lately, and looking more like the crafty veteran that he is

x2. My head literally hit my drop ceiling and I knocked a tile loose when he struck out Freeze. I'm still on a high right now. Wearing my Santana jersey all day today too.
