Thread: help me with setting up my AUX-IN

  1. 04-09-2012 03:47 PM #1
    hello guys.

i just bought a armrest from a golf 6, for my golf 5. the armrest came with a AUX-IN input.
and i want to buy a RCD 310 for my golf 5, instead of my RCD 300.. and i am going to switch my gayeway, to a newere gateway..

and of course a cable from the AUX-IN to my music player(RCD 310).

is this going to work, or do i have to do another thing, before it works?

    regards

Most don't mess with the 310 at all. Usually the RCD or RNS 510. But, at most, you should only have to swap two pins on the harness on the back of the radio in order to get the Aux-in to work. Again, not too familiar with the RCD-310, but on both the RCD-510 and the RNS-510, that is what needs to be done in order to have the aux-in work properly.

IF it is the same as the RCD/RNS-510, HERE is the DIY for the repinning.

Again, don't quote me on it but that is all I know. Other than the aux-in, it should be plug and play.
