I was in Germany for 2 years and left in July 2011. I had a great time, you will have fun if you are not afraid to travel. I should be re enlisting next month and they offered me vilseck so me and my Mk4 R32 might be seeing you next march! If you plan on doing alot of stuff to your car, depending on what it is I would buy it now and ship it over there with you. Some things in Germany are very expensive and also in the Euro form. When I was there I was losing alot of money but you get COLA when stationed in Germany. Good luck, have fun and if you have any questions feel free to PM me

I am here in vilseck been wondering the same question. I ran into a guy that is in the sceen a little bit and there is a car show this weekend. Lucky me, i get to miss it because of a trip the wife planned. Let me know where you are here and we can meet up. I have seen a few other dubs ( one GLI a few golfs and a corrado that never seems to move) but it would be chill to organize some sort of car meet. I dont live in the barracks so it would be nice to see a bunch of dubs out from of my house! are you shipping your car over here? it took about 40 days for ours to come.
