Is this just a matter of me adjusting it the wrong way? it looks higher than it did before. Just need to know if I am supposed to expand or compress the spring to lower my ride height, it's my first time doing this so bare with me.

I have the baseline coilover kit from vmaxx on my mk4.
Bottom line: I went to put on my summer tires, turned the adjustment knob nearly to the top of the threads on the coilovers, take the car back off the jackstands and the thing is sitting so high it's ridiculous.
If you tighten the spring the car should go lower no? Totally lost and need some help.
this is my suspension kit: http://www.v-maxx.co.uk/viewproduct.asp?id=116&m2=112

lower it by spinning the collar down.
raise it by spinning the collar up.
it has nothing to do with compressing the spring.
