I recently installed elevel on my mk3 vr6 gti and while im trying to program it automatically, im getting a high voltage warning on my switchpad. When calibrating im never getting a solid "2" when its complete only the flashing lights in an upaward fashion. I've researched for this problem but still havent found the information im looking for. I called accuair and they said to check all my grounds. I did that and tested all of them with a volt meter and everything checks out great. but im still getting the high voltage flashing lights. Can anyone shed some light on my situation?
Thanks in advance!!![]()

Check the voltage from the ground wire out of the ECU to the red wire going into the ECU (pop the fuse cover and check it there). If that is still reading 12.5v and 14v than give us a call and we will try swapping the ECU. I don't think we've seen this be an ECU fault in the past, but you may be the lucky first![]()

the volt meter reads 12.5v with the engine off and 13.5v with the engine on. The switchpad is still showing it has high voltage.

Just to add to the ECU thing, I had one that would just not read the driver's front sensor correctly. Everything was wired correctly, but when I would do the calibration that corner would just stay all the way down with everything else moving. I had to just manually adjust every time and I had no presets. New ECU (they paid for shipping and everything) and everything is going great.

I don't want to thread-jack but since you got your issue resolved...
Yesterday I was driving along and my car aired itself out almost fully. The "2" was still lit as if it thought this was my preset. I aired way up to get it off the tires until I could park. I hit 2 again and it went back to a non-driveable height, as if the preset got screwed up. I reset it to about where I want it to be. It was just really strange that it did that on its own. Has anyone else experienced this?

Glad that we were able to get you going. Just an FYI... we do 100% test every ECU before it leaves our facility and our test rig verifies 100% of the functionality of the ECU. With all of that said, ECU's can still fail upon installation from time to time. Sometimes it can be caused by some mis-wiring by the customer (bad grounding etc), but sometimes it is just an ECU that doesn't cut the mustard. No matter the cause, it is always our top priority to get you guys on the road ASAP when you call or email with these types of issues. Once we have confirmed that the problem is not related to installation, we don't hesitate to send new parts![]()
