So i hear those are rare to come by? i looked online at the bentley site and on amazon and ebay. still no luck...

If you've searched the PAOM classifieds here, you would've figured they are not that hard to come by.

.. I been using my bentley from when I had my 97 Jetta GLX VR6.. or just searching for DIYs..
why do you need it? What are you replacing or trying to figure out?

just want on to have on hand. i wanna learn DIY. dont wanna have to look online everytime. everyone i know has one for their cars so i just figure i would get one too lol plus i'm just fixing things here and there. little things. My cousins replacing my timing chain, clutch right now. its in pieces

Its a good tool to have for reference. The instructions aren't really in depth DIYs they are mostly diagrams and schematics but its filled with tons of useful information. Just keep looking, post in the classifieds and check ebay from time to time. There is two volumes for the B4s so make sure you get both. They are out there GL!

You can also still buy it new from Bentley. I ordered a B3 one a couple of weeks ago, and just recently got it because they had to print some copies. Fresh off the press.

.. well if you have the money.. then buy the B4 Passat manual.. I couldnt even find one at the time.
My suggestions is you buy the more common Jett/golf Mk3 manual with the VR6 info.. I plan to do chains, clutch.. seals.. everything.. the VR6 spec should be the same.
