That is actually a P5B with the Buick 215 (3.5L) V8. The car in the OP image has a 3L straight 6.

Beaten but yes, it is a Rover and yes, it should have the I6 in it. There was a model very similar with the 3.5 in it. I love these. They just look so incredibly cool.

You think you hate it now. Wait til you drive it.

They are beautiful cars. By the way, that is also a P5B. The rims are different, and it appears to have the text "3.5 Litre" on the front wing although the picture is to small to read it.

    edit:

Here is a picture that shows the text I mentioned:

Hope someone posts a picture of the interior. The interior in the P5 was every bit as nice as the interior of the more expensive Jag 3.8 sedans back then. Wonderfully comfortable seats and lots of real wood. They also were very quiet and smooth riding.

Right, I chose that particular one because I like the roof line a little better than the normal P5, which is still a good looking car.

Beautiful it is! Reminds me of a '55 Chrysler with a chopped top.

    Rover P5?

Mustang ownership: cruising at 1500 RPM: oops time to upshift!

I think we have a winner with the Rover Good call on the British origin.
