I've had this car for about 6 years. Bought it in dry Eastern Washington. Brought it back to my garage
and upgraded most all of the mechanical systems. It's been garaged ever since.
Details:
Drive train-
2.0 short block - built to DRS in California, overbored, new pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, etc.
Everything was balanced.
2.0 16V head built by SCCH, heavily ported, new valves, springs, retainers, seals etc.
Cams - TT blended cam set
Exhaust - Scirocco 16V manifold, TT catless downpipe, SuperSprint cat back exhaust
Clutch - Potterman lightened flywheel, pressure plate, disc, etc.
Trans - 4K stock, shifts well in all gears, unknown mileage.
New Radiator, hoses, belts, filters, etc.
Scirocco 16V CIS-E, new injectors, new intake boot.
New Distributer, wires, etc.
Wiring - Painless wiring kit, most stuff works.
Brakes-
4 Wheel discs
New rotors 10.1" fronts
New calipers
New stainless lines
New master cylinder
Scirocco 16V pedals and booster
Suspension -
FK coilovers with Koni adjustable inserts
New OEM busings all around, front and rear including the $$ rear beam busings
Control arms are new.
Early type strut bearings
Autotech aluminum upper strut bar
SRS rear sway bar, no bront sway bar
Interior -
Original tobacco interior, carpet in good shape, door panels uncut, dash minor cracks only, headliner no
tears, uncut parcel shelf, clean back seat. Period correct, color matching Recaros on Wedge brackets.
Momo wheel, golf ball knob, Scirocco 1 cluster with tach.
Floors lined to dynamat type stuff.
Exterior -
Original Panama Brown paint.
Minor dings and scuffs, she's got patina.
Kamei lower side decals.
Front spoiler.
Original bumpers and chrome trim.
Structurally solid, little surface rust and some at the rear apron seams.
15" LeCastelletes with new 195/50/15's.
I've gone through pretty much everything on this car. I like original looking cars and went to
great lengths to keep it looking that way with some period correct accessories.
the car has a great cohesive look. I spent a lot of money getting the engine built by some of the
best in the business and getting everything else up to the same level. The FK's were a bit of a gamble
but I like the adjustable Koni inserts so decided to try them. I've been very happy with how they ride and
handle. Looks like they would go very low. I never messed with that as it's not my thing. I'd like this
to go to a good home.
