The retractable cargo cover (blind) for my 2002.5 Passat wagon failed in that it no longer retracts. I took it apart to roll it back up in the hopes of fixing it, but it no longer has any torsional spring action. A quick search indicates a new one retails for $400 and I've seen some new ones discounted to around $300. There are some used ones on eBay for $100 - $200.

Before I buy, does anyone know of any fixes for a broken blind?

Does anyone here have one they'd be willing to sell?
