mk6 tdi suspension on mk6 gti?

Hey everyone I know this sounds odd but for some odd reason i swear i remember reading one of TechEd's post about the stock suspension that you can actually put tdi suspesnion on the gti and it will sit slightly lower and have a bit stiffer/better handling.

Can any one shed some light on my possible stupiudity? Also would it not sit lower?

Yes, I have heard about this...you will be sitting lower
