Website above contains most of the maintenance I have done to the car, I purchased the car from the second owner (acting as a liaison between myself and his friend, the third owner, who only put a few thousand miles on the car over a few years) and have most of his receipts and all of mine. This car was purchased by second owner in Ohio but has spent most of it's life in the metro ATL area- solid body with no rust. Mileage is 167,631 as of 4/10/12.
Car is in great shape for its age, dash is not cracked and all of the gauges function (except the clock, this is covered up now but could be fixed- redundant since the stereo has one). Interior is in great shape, the drivers seat has some bolster wear and could stand to have this piece recovered as pictured on website. A/C works but is not GREAT, pressures check fine on gauges so freon is full (no leaks).
Selling price includes:
- Car
- All mods on above website (suspension, SS exhaust with header, Euro Headlights, Shine Bar, stereo, Momo steering wheel/shift knob/pedals, Heim joint shift linkage, Alpine stereo, etc)
- All parts that came with the car and ones that were removed for replacement that are still serviceable including fuel system parts, original wheels with locks and center caps/lugs, roof rack (Thule?), etc
- Parts required to repair remaining issues (axles L/R with all seals, wheel bearings L/R packed with redline grease, new belts/timing belt, etc.)
Currently the car is parked in my garage and I need to free up some space, so I am selling this car hoping it will go to an enthusiast and selling at a loss considering the cost of all parts installed or purchased by me. The axle seals are leaking a bit of trans fluid, so that could be topped off so the car could be driven home locally- any further than that and I might trailer it as a buyer.
Have clear title, car is located in Loganville, GA (about 30 minutes east of Atlanta). This car needs very little time/TLC to be a great example of this VW era, and paint.
$2500 , this will be going to my son if it doesn't sell, I will start on the remaining to-do items and start getting it ready for paint.
Best method of contact is via email: bill@billswebspace.com

Thanks for your comments Rado.
I planned for this car to be my daughters 'intro to driving' car and just didn't have the heart to give her a good car to destroy, so I bought her a BMW E30![]()
I was planning to replace all of the Scirocco front end pieces (bearings, hubs, control arms, bushings, drive axles, seals, etc- all included) and give it to my son who takes care of things a bit better than his sister, but my son will not be driving for two years. My wife and I agreed he could learn with our supervision in the Mini and we would find him something to drive on his own when he turns 16.......or give him the Mini if my wife is ready to give it up. Between a front end rebuild, some new seals, and new paint, this could be a NICE car (new OE sunroof seal included as well, was planning to install after paint). I think everything else has been sorted out over the ~6 years I have owned the car.

i live in carrollton ga and go to school at UWG. i actually used your page to help me with my scirocco when i had it. i sold it because the P.O. rode it hard and put it away wet and i couldnt afford to keep cleaning up his messes (aka it fell apart on me cause he didnt perform basic maintenance) and regret it every day... i just cant justify the price with all of the school expenses im incurring though![]()
do you have any recent pictures of the car? i would love be able to pull something together for this.
on keeping a car the way it should be.

Thanks!
To be honest, it looks exactly like it does on the website pictures. I may have a chance to pull it out and take some more shots from different angles this weekend when I am back in town and update this thread.
This car was a 3rd or 4th car for us (now 5th) and has not seen a lot of mileage since we bought it, maybe 10-15k local miles over the years?
