Hello All:
I have now returned to Canada after an extraordinarily long time out of the country (8 weeks), and I have started to re-host the photos lost when the OEM Plus photo server shut down unexpectedly earlier this year.
If you would like photos re-hosted, please make your request in this thread, and provide a link (URL) to the thread with the missing photos. I will then try to find the photos and re-host them. Once I have re-hosted the photos, I'll make an note on your original request indicating that the job is done and the photos are again available.
But, please consider this first: It takes about 10 to 15 minutes per thread to re-host photos. I don't mind spending the time to do this for photos that illustrate a 'how-to' task, or illustrate some other technical solution that will be of value to many other forum members in the future. But, for other photos such as a photo that might illustrate a rare interior trim colour on a MY 2004 car... before you ask to have the photo re-hosted, ask yourself whether the missing photo will be of value to others in the future, and whether it is worthy of 15 minutes of my time to go and find it, re-host it, edit the HTML to ensure it appears properly in the thread, etc.
Thanks and regards,
Michael

Would it please be possible to rehost the pictures from your post #11 of Keyless Entry Issues (consolidated discussions) on door panel removal? I'm finally taking the plunge and replacing a broken sunshade on one of the rear doors. I did look through the 2 PDFs in "Interior Door Panel Removal -- Bass Speaker Broken Wire Repair" but would like to see photos of what I will be dealing with next weekend at the junkyard - this time I'm taking my camera and plan to post pictures of any relevant (or requested) disassembly.
Also awesome pic of the Phaeton & Twin Otter...instrument and seaplane rated single engine private pilot here!

I hope to be doing this in the near future, but not for at least a few weeks, so no hurry.
Thanks!

Hello Everyone:
I am in Libya at the moment and will be here until the middle of May. I have limited internet connectivity, so, it might take a while to fulfil photo re-hosting requests.

Hi Michael,
Could you rehost any photos relating to the Kessy module, which gets wet when the rubber bungs fall off.
I'd like to have a go at removing mine and drying it out and perhaps refitting new bungs.
Thanks,
Allister

Hi Michael,
Hope all went well for you in Libya
Could you prepost the photo of ODB2 port location from showthread.php?3001224#post34740984
Thank You!
REPLY FROM MICHAEL: Hi Larsman: That particular thread number (3001224) refers to a thread that shows the fusebox location, and how to get access to the fusebox. I have re-hosted those photos. If they are not the ones you want, just post another request on this thread.

Hi Michael,
any chance of getting the pics re-hosted on the Paddle Shifters, I am about to brave the procedure!
Thanks
Stu
REPLY FROM MICHAEL: Stu, let me know if you still want those photos (it's Sept 1 today, you posted the request on June 2). If you still plan to do the retrofit, I would be happy to re-host them, but it is about an hour's work to replace all the pictures - therefore I don't want to do it unless you still need them.

Hi. In the UK, Phaeton 3.0TDi. Son doesn't like me smoking in the car so he removed the ashtray inserts and stuff'd the empty trays with coins -- one of these is now stuck in there and tray will not close. The two threads which appear to deal with this are:
Ashtray (Front) - what to do if it will not open (e.g. coin stuck in there)

and
Retrofitting Keyless Start to North American Phaetons
http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1683482
REPLY FROM MICHAEL: I have started the process of re-hosting all those pictures, but it will take some time to complete - it took me an hour just to do the first page of the thread.
I cannot see any of the images and imagine they need re-hosting -- I realise this takes up a lot of time but would really appreciate the images being re-hosted (funny experience -- smaller images are available via Google search but when I click on one of them it simply leads back to the 1683482 thread).
Thanks in advance.
Salim
PS: Just found this PDF document -- was this created from the thread on this forum?
http://wiki.vag.cc/images/e/e3/Volks...art_System.pdf
REPLY FROM MICHAEL: Yes, the PDF referenced above is a word-for-word (and photo-for-photo) copy of the instructions contained on the thread. If you are thinking of doing this project, I recommend that you download that PDF - it will be a heck of a lot easier to print than the first page of the thread.

REPLY FROM MICHAEL: The missing posts on page 1 of that discussion were posted by another forum member (357Sig). I can only repost photos that I posted in the first place. There are quite a few photos on the second page of that thread that illustrate the point. Michael
