If you are looking for a home theater rig, this is the mac for you as it comes pre-installed with ripping software for DVD's and an extremely robust set of viewing programs and file management software including Plex, VLC, Boxee and the like. Simply mate to an external HD through it's firewire800 plug and you are good to go. I can even walk you through setting up your system for free (I get a kick out of turning friends onto this sort of system).

HDMI out for full 1080p res
Optical out for the best digital audio you can get
USB ports and FW800 port

If you are into graphics, I also have the full package of the Adobe Suite if that is your thing.

This computer has been in a cabinet that is triple-fan cooled so it has led a cushy life =)
