Everything starts tomorrow! I will be asking hella questions (only when stumped). Feel free to toss ideas/shortcuts and/or strategy. My last VW project before I head to Japan. Will try to keep up the posts & pics.

    List:

    - alloy valve cover
    - OBD2 engine swap
    - GIAC ECU
    - interior repair & refinish
    - coil over install w/ HD mounts & bushings
    - R32 Poly LCA bushings (yes, not worth it but I have them & will only drive the car for a month)
    - brake booster swap (have the older corrado setup now)
    - heater core
    - brakes & rotors
    - ... random bits & pieces

    Saved from the mountains!

-Parts came in Props to AutohausAZ

-Wheels sent off to get stripped down & blasted to save time. Could've done it in-house but time is of the essence. Picking them up this afternoon to wetsand over the weekend & drop off on Monday for powder coat.

-Decided to get a billet crack pipe (Thanks, Geereg!).

    - Found a 5th wheel for full-size spare refinishing tomorrow to have it powder coated to have a complete matching set

    - picked up another borla... 2 borlas maybe too quiet?

    - bamboo floor template getting prepared for weekend assembly

    - found an intact foglight after tracking down 8 passats over the majority of the bay area

    Question:
will the exhaust be too quiet? please let me know what you guys are running or what are your experiences. anybody have sound samples or recommended video, threads, etc.?

Two MUFFLERS? You mean not a resonator and a muffler? I recon that might be a bit on the quiet side.

I`m running the classic Magnaflow + suitcase delete on stock diameter, and it's sounds slick, but on normal driving it is pretty quiet.

Soundproof your floor while doing the floor instead, and keep only one muffler. Quiet for you with the windows up, quiet enough for the police, still intimidating at WOT

For the exhaust system, I'm essentially recreating the Techtonics system for a B4 wagon. Suitcase is getting deleted and 1 of the exhausts is replacing it, while adding a second 1 at the end of the system.

The center caps... I'll post them up soon. I haven't started on them, but I'm doing a vinyl wrap.

if it is not too late and you are still interested in a new old stock foglight ; i have some in the boxes.
i am not sure i am ever going to use 10 of them....

i like the wagon. i pulled a complete black interior from a b3 wagon today and i am hoping to use those parts in my sedan...

minus the wagon parts of course...

I've got a borla dual muffler system on mine. I had it originally on my MK3 but adapted it to fit the B4 when I sold the MK3.

Personally I love the sound of it. It is on the quiet side but thats what I love about it. It provides me with a quiet ride on the highway and long drives but at WOT it sounds fantastic. I drive quite a bit so I didn't want a system I could hear while driving normally.

    I'll post pics later tonight

    UPDATE:
Black leathers from a B3 sedan in my B4V.

Tan leathers from my B3V project.

I don't have pictures of the leathers from my B4V, but there is no change in the stitch design.

Very nice (except the accident part), how'd you get the duckbill lip on? I assume a drill and some screws? (But then my assumptions are usually what I'd do)

Ben (Frenchy) told me about it, but I'll be on my way to Chicago that day so its a no go for me. When I come back I'll try to come to the next BA Dubs GTG, after the one on the 27th.

You sir, are my brand new hero. You're doing 10x that I'd be brave enough to tackle in the time remaining till Wuste. Can't wait to see another B3v there finally. Good luck with what you have left. You rolling down with any of the caravans or doin' it Lone Wolfe stylee?
