Thread: Nice pick up.., now where should I put it..?

I just got a great deal an an AEM Tru Boost. I figured buying a frankenturbo would be reason enough to buy a real boost gauge since I've had the car for 4 years without one.

Where should I put it? My left vent is already filled.

Eekk I'm not a fan of the pillar gauges.

These fit our cars if you make a little L/V shaped bracket bracket out of some home depot metal, drill a few holes & some bolts.

I love the look of the vent gauges, you can actually go the cheap route instead of the modshack or awe setups and buy an osir mk2 tt vent gauge and modify it. this is the end result note that this photo is before I centered the gauge. turned out phenomenal for trying to be a baller on a budget.

Yeah, I'm not a fan. Other than being in a bad spot, I think they are pretty ugly.

Yeah I'm sure I could make that work, but I think I just want to mount the 1 Tru boost instead of having a dual pod set up. I'm thinking about a few ideas as far as mounting. Needs to be just below the dash to be at the right height. Anything lower than that is too low for me. Anything above the dash/hood line can be a bit of an obstruction.

I'm not a big fan of losing another functional vent. My liquidTT already kills my left one. Although I only really use my AC when my girl is in the car. *****..

Your vent will still function, but it just wont be directional. Pull the vent out from the rear and your wont lose any air into your dash.
Sex should be like a Civic; slow, obscene, and loud enough for the neighbors to hear.

you can go really cheap and just stick the gauge in a gutted vent, it sits back a little bit but its kind of nice to keep the glare off the gauge. I have the VDO gauge from TTstuff. Maybe when I don't feel getto Ill get a proper vent adapter

here is a crappy pick but you get the idea
