Hey I just bought a mkv r32 and was looking into some new wheels. Im just wondering if anyone has suggestions on how wide to go with the new wheels. I'd rather them be flush with the fender but all suggestions are appreciated.

Welcome to the cult. I would suggest runnning some searches as there is a huge amount of information available already. This forum has been running for some time and covered quite a lot of the questions you will have in the near future. Not trying to blow you off. Just pointing out this has been covered extensively and the answer your looking for may already be posted.

The options available to you will vary drastically based on your end goal of form/function. Offset is going to be just as important as the wheel width. Checking out some of the members build threads and getting an idea of what your going for may help. Many people post the stats of their wheel/suspension setups.

    They aren't rims...

Anyway; if you are just going for a flush look, try an 18X8.5 et 42-45 and you'll be golden. Mild stretch (225/40 or 215/40) will tuck it easily if you aren't lowered; mid stretch (205/40) will do well if you are lowered.
