I'm not hating, but it's not a Carat (I've had two). All Carats came standard with A/C, cruise, MFA, power windows, heated power mirrors, etc.

    Again, GL with sale.

this is a CARAT. if you are old enough then you will know what most people did with these in the 80's and Andrew just got the car that way with those options removed.. by previous douche bag owners

Bump for ya Andrew solid BC Automobile

    Thanks Arbi.

It is a Carat just has had all the options that were standard with a Carat deleted by the PO for some reason. Wiring's under the dash still for power windows, car comes with vac pump to wire up the power locks, heated seats have been replaced with Recaro's but switches on dash remain, AC was deleted, etc....

Not sure why the PO deleted all these things, but what can you do. I would make it a 100% Carat again but i'm going to purchase a different car i've had my eyes on for a long time instead.

Ok I was trying to be helpful & honest, but I see that Denial and his big brother Defensive want to call me stupid or a liar.

So let me get this right... the PO also deleted cruise control (under hood and on steering column), Multi Function Arm, Instrument panel, heated power mirrors, door speakers, changed all four door cards, console, etcetera...

It’s not more plausible that he just put a Carat badge on the rear?

If you guys are that sure of it, post the VIN. Caveat Emptor!!

I owned this car one owner before the current owner. It is in fact a carat according to the vin. None of the options were deleted by me, but prior to me and prior to the guy I bought it from. The rear door cards noticeably looked like they had power window buttons on them at one point but cranks were installed instead. Not really a vw fan boy here so I don't know all of what was changed out. The cruise is definitely not functional as the wiring on the stalk is cut. A/c was also deleted and the car definitely had a climate control from a model without a/c in it as the icons for the vents didn't line up as to what flappers would open/close.

Really? you're that upset about the possibility of being wrong about a car you've only seen in pictures online?

Relax, a deposit's been taken on the car. It is 100% a Carat. I feel no need to post a VIN for a keyboard warrior.

    Have a nice day!

I used to have a 86 GLI 8V that was also listed as a Carat... These cars are 20+ years old. Do you know what can happen in that much time? Do you know how many different variations of models can be built for various markets? Like c'mon dude... you think this stuff is written in stone or something.

We should all end it right here . This is a for sale add not a discussion forum on what or what the carat does not have and what is a carat or not blah blah we explained it once and that's it no need to go further.
And the car is sold now it looks like so let's just end this done.
    Arbi.
