1997 Passat Wagon GLX VR6
90,000 original miles
Emerald Green
GOOD:
-Strong running VR6 motor with no chain noise
-Good condition tan leather interior - no rips
-ABS, sunroof and heater all work fine
-Aftermarket CD player w/ MP3 input
-Fully functional door locks and handles!
-25mpg's on the highway @ 70mph
BAD:
-Auto Transmission is slipping into 1st and 2nd, but still drives. Shifts fine into all other gears. I still drive the car every day.
-Some small dings, dents, and scratches on exterior. Clearcoat peeling on hood.
-1 rust bubble on rear passenger door (silver dollar sized), 1 on drivers door (quarter-sized), otherwise rust-free
-Front windows work unevenly
-AC needs to be recharged, but compressor is working
I have alot of low-mileage used spare parts for this car that could go along with the sale, including:
Complete rear brakes and suspension (bilstein TC shocks, mounts, bearings, rotors, calipers, pads, hardware)
Front end tie rods and ball joints
Complete AC condenser and plumbing
2 extra bottlecap rims
I'd like to get $1200 for the wagon, but I'm interested in hearing all offers.
This wagon would be a great candidate for a 5-speed conversion or as a VR6 donor car. Clean title. Located in Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
Pictures available upon request...but I can assure you that it looks just like every other green 97 passat wagon...please email me directly for photos, as they are too large to post here.

Reason: SOLD
What about $1200obo? I am interested in ALL offers right now. Motor is great, body and interior are decent for a B4V. Great candidate for a 5-speed swap, TDI conversion, or as a parts donor. I have some good photos to email out.
Send Pix - Deweytea@gmail.com - I am in Greensboro, so if you get close, maybe an inperson viewing ? include a direct contact int he e-mail if possible.
SOLD for $1200 to a guy in Atlanta who intends to convert to 5speed. Sold all the parts also, so I am now V-dub-less for the first time in about 6 years. Sad, but I have a 92 4runner to play with instead.
