Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 2.0t and 2.5 exhausts are the same post-downpipe, aren't they?

I was specifically told these systems do not fit a 2.0t, but you can certainly try.

I don't know why, but the dealer has also told me specifically that these will not fit a 2.0T

    Found this:

The 2.5L should have an additional resonator and a longer straight run to mate up with the factory clamp location (vs the 2.0T.)

Sounds like they are not identical, at least not the Votex exhausts.

It will fit a 2.0t by cutting it down a few inches. All hangers/routing are identical.

Maybe, but the 2.5 version has an additional resonator. I would think the sound could be thrown off by cutting that out & then "cutting it down a few inches". I'd rather just wait for the 2.0T version to be clearanced than possibly screw up a perfectly good exhaust.

I believe there are some clips on YouTube. I do have a similar Votex exhaust on my Rabbit and it sounds awesome.

Great for you...i was just advising you that it will fit by "cutting a few inches" off, and that all hangers are identical. In the other thread a few of the 2.0t guys installed it on their cars and from what i read they really liked it.
And a bump for OP's great price on a practically extinct exhaust

I have a 2007 Rabbit 4dr with a 2.5, any chance it will work on my car?

No, these systems will only fit Jetta sedan's and Sportwagen's with the 2.5 liter 5 cylinder engine.

If the remaining two don't sell within the next couple of weeks I might consider it.
