Thread: Removing RUSTED MANIFOLD NUTS?

    Was looking to take off my performance exhaust manifold so I could apply some heat wrap. Took one look at the locking nuts and they are so rusted they look round with no flat surfaces. Is there an easy way to remove the nuts that does not require removing the engine or one that does not involve welding?

    heat a slighly smaller socket in 12 point Plus a hammer
    Forced convection.... Now we grillin.

    If access is good , hammer and sharp chisel. Split the nut .
