Was looking to take off my performance exhaust manifold so I could apply some heat wrap. Took one look at the locking nuts and they are so rusted they look round with no flat surfaces. Is there an easy way to remove the nuts that does not require removing the engine or one that does not involve welding?

If access is good , hammer and sharp chisel. Split the nut .
