I'm replacing the timing chains and guides on my mkiv vr6 and I'm stuck getting the transmission out. Was following the DIY I found here for removing the trans and it says to rotate it counterclockwise to help clear the diff over the subframe. How far should it rotate? I can only get mine to turn a few degrees. Not nearly enough for clearance. Do I rotate it before I start separating it from the engine? Any tips or help would be great...being dependent on the misses for rides is killing me lol.
