I think that there is no dsg7 in North America (don't kill me if you do have), but I think this thread will interest you as well.
I own a 2010 golf TSI, 1.4L, 160 HP with dsg7 gearbox. The car was 2 year old this month, and have 17,000KM.
On the last 2-3 month, I feel like a light vibration when the gearbox is shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. It is not evry time and with different level of vibrations. Sometime it happend durring the start of the drive, too. I didn't pay much attention about it.
Reading some posts on domestic forums (in Israel), I realized that this problem is known with the dsg7 but not with the dsg6.
A few car owners got the answer from the dealer that this is "regular behavior of this gearbox"

A few weeks ago, a big daily newspaper got too many complains about this issue, and they contact the importer of VW/Audi/Skoda in Israel.

It came out that the importer contact VW Germany, and they both confirm that there is a problem.
They say that the problem is about the cluch, that is not working well in the middle east hot weather.

They extend the warranty in Israel for the gearbox to 5 years (instead of 3), and they will replace it with a new generation of a cluch to everyone who have this problem.

Last week I had to do my annual servise, so I ask the guy to go out for a ride with me. He agreed that my cluch need to be replaced as well.

So now I have a new one, and so far, for 3 days evrything is smooth and works well.
They also did a recall (37G7) that is an updat for the management of the gearbox (mechatronic?). It should reduce some metallic noise when shifting.

On the upper part of the picture you can see my gearbox with the old clutch, and below it, the new cluch.

    OAM Gearbox.
This will be coming to North America very soon. Was your vehicle chipped or bone stock?

No, no chip or any other mod, all original, even no lowering (illegal here).
    What is OAM?

What is "OAM" for (is it initials for something?)? I'm not an English speaker, thanks.

OAM is the transmission type identifier code.

    Thank you.
I was afraid that someone will say something like "O????? After Market" gearbox , since I saw the cluch box before it was oppened, and it was VW original.

Your gearbox code. Sounds like alot of people are having issues with those OEM clutches.

Seems like this issue may be worldwide. Singapore, china and Malaysia as well as Australia have been getting the 37g7 update.

Clutch packs seem to be replaced on a case by case basis.
