    Dead ECU

    My buddy ECU is dead and he going to order a new one. When he gets it from the dealer is it a direct plug and play of does he have to get it programmed? Or can you do it via Vag-Com?

    I don't know the procedure, but it needs to be immobilizer defeated or linked to the cluster

    he'll have to take it to the dealership, so they can program it to where everything co-exist with each other
