Pretty good showing on Saturday. It was an awesome morning, except for the douche in a purple GT-R that decided to cross the double-yellow to pass me on Old Dominion Dr. I was going 52 in a 40...apparently, too slow for our NoVA Sebastian Vettel who had to arrive at CnC all of one minute before me.

Ironically, today I drove the GTI more than I probably have total in the last month

David's Rabbit is the real deal. It tingles my VW fan inside me that I try my hardest to suppress.

EDIT: Just noticed your stable - screw the GTI, bring the E34 out!
Ah, I would totally do it, but right now it is still in limbo as it is still rolling on its mexican plates (I bought it in Mexico but it is an American market car). My dad also fell in love with it on the drive from Mexico City so he has it back home in NY. I will probably bring it down later in the summer though!! The only thing is I wish it were a standard, but you can't have it all I suppose!

So, is this going on this weekend??

on par with my experiences with NoVA GT-Rs on the roads ... they're a special breed it seems.

I recommend taking G-Town Pike because of less traffic and a more interesting drive

It's the reality of all Porsche, Merc, BMW, and exotics drivers in NoVA.

Going 10 over? You're going to be tailgated until there is any room to pass (legal or not), or the douche is going to be giving you the brights

(But to be serious, it does seem to be the worst with lease-spec 328i's and C300's )

Jeez. I feel like a wrap makes more sense since you can keep the underlying color untouched.

Besides, AMG would paint the car from the factory any color if you so wished...why go aftermarket?

I drove past this place today randomly. I thought...."I know this place....but from where?" Then I stumbled upon this thread (again) and realized I finally know where C&C takes place on Saturday mornings!

Just a heads up if it's rainy/wet on Sat. I probably won't be out there. Weather is kinda looking "meh" but I don't think they overly know yet. So it will be a game time call if I drag myself out of bed.

The hourly is still showing sunshine in the morning. I don't know - if I get myself up at 6:00am on a saturday, even if it's raining I'm probably still in.

Even if not many people show up, I take a nice little cruise - and reward myself with a boston creme donut

    1. Probably best to park off to the side unless you bring something pretty stellar.
    2. Don't speed around the area
    3. Don't sit there revving your engine or blasting your stereo
    4. Don't take all of the jelly donuts before I get there

FYI if you get there at 8, you will be parking in the back guaranteed, which is not a bad thing to do even if you get there at 7. you may miss some cars that have left by then as well.

also, this is a family friendly event (aka kids running around).
