they've backed off a bit recently (thankfully). pretty sure no one was giving any of them business. same goes for the mobile detailing crews that show up from time to time.

sounds like there's going to be a decent TCL contingent showing up tomorrow!

I've gone only once this year so far, about 3 weeks ago, and I have to say the turnout was about as big as anything I saw last year, plus there was a whole lotta new stuff.

The detailing crew from what I was told was asked not to come back b/c they were taking up too many spots. Top things off nobody was even paying any attention to them.

Tim, if you come out I'll bring your brake tool w/me.

Definitely sounds like a mini TCL meet of sorts.

We should do it. All park over on the lot where the farmer's market used to be - then we can all see the POS's we drive

Yeah, if you're approaching from Walker Rd, you'd turn in where the Wells Fargo bank is. Just past Columbine. On really busy days, the nice cars have to overflow into there, but that doesn't happen too often.

I might be biased but I see no problem with Dealerships showing up to show off some new stuff...as long as everyone is respectful can't we all get along?

When the dealership guys are taking up prime real estate from the rare cars that deserve to be up front, then yes - I have a problem with it.

Yup I agree.. even if it was a Smart car. It's funny to see the number of people selling cars here though. That Saleen was for sale for $399k.. and the paint on the rear fender had paint burns from someone taking a buffer to it. Last week a limo company showed up w/the Packard and the RR and were playing music. That was kinda annoying having them bonk into my car constantly.

I can see your point, but the cars that I drive to our local C&C are more than worthy to park amongst the rest of the cars...just becuase I sell cars doesn't mean I'm not an enthusiast.

It's a car show, not a car sale. There's plenty of dealership lots for people who want to buy cars.

Believe it or not but I get a lot of people asking me to bring cars out to C&C, I'm happy to oblige because it's a good excuse for me to take a car home for the night

I don't know how the dealerships act at your local C&C but I'm very respectful...I park the car, answer any questions people have and then walk around to enjoy seeing what others have brought

I apologize to the OP for taking your thread a bit OT...it was not my intention

That thought in mind... I go to C&C to see vehicles that have withstood the test of time, either through the dedication of an owner, or the result of a painstaking restoration. Sure... a brand new supercar is cool, but I could see any of those at any dealership in Potomac. To me (and YMMV), they'll never be as cool as a 40 year-old mini that's had it's owners blood, sweat and tears go into it.

Same here. That's why I love the Great Falls show so much, yeah - you have to sift through the new Ferraris and Lambos - but so many neat oddballs show up to make up for it.

Yeah, huge turnout today. Great photos. Didn't take my DSLR this time... Lots of stuff I've never seen, including that SLC Superlite (talked to the owner for a while) and the Lambo LM America. Love the color on the V12 Vantage.

Yep, it is Ovechkin's SL Black series. From looking at it up close, I think it's a very high quality vinyl wrap.

Yeah, I've seen him around Friendship Heights and Georgetown and such. Last time I saw him, he was blasting Lil Wayne far louder than he ever deserves to be played.

Yeah, I'd imagine so, it was flat black just a couple months ago, and as far as I could tell that was a really high quality wrap too. 99% of people looking at it would never ever notice its a wrap, it was really well done. And you have to love being able to change the color of your car in an afternoon for a fraction of the price of a real paintjob.
