My R32 was sold on Saturday, it was a sad moment watching it pull away on the trailer. The new owner is from MD.

He can only appreciate it from the outside for now. He's not allowed inside until I get one of those dog-friendly seat covers for the back seat.

Congrats! Hope you got your price. How many miles on your R now?

Thanks Kevin. Love it so far, although it's eerily quite in comparison to the R32.

Are you guys going to be in the area at the end of June? R32 cruise to Limerock

Well, it is in great shape; has quite a few worthwhile OEM+ & aftermarket additions; two sets of tires on wheels (Winter & Summer); reasonable mileage; was never abused; and was priced to sell.
I could have gotten more for it, but I didn't want the sale to drag out over a long period of time. And now, Ryan has a great car that he bought for a great price. Everyone wins.

That is a slammin' deal from a dealership! You should jump on that before he changes his mind!

I think a lot of those people went to the MK VI R with great expectations that the car was going to be something other than what it really is.
I went to it expecting it to be the third generation of the R brand, which it is. I've not been disappointed yet.

I've only put about 100 miles on it so far, but:

The new R is the natural evolution of the R brand, so while it is new and different in most aspects, it is strangely familiar.
I think I'm going to be very happy with it.

I got the price I wanted after changing the price in the post. I am happy and the new owner got a good car at a good price. The Golf R has 740 miles on it and I have had it since March 29th. I will be at Pocono to hang out with some friends running in Audi Club on Sunday. They are doing the full tri oval, my car does not have enough miles on it. I still need some real tires and I would not do the full course without a chip and my car is stock for now. With that full course I would be banging off the top limiter all day, it would just make me insane.

Start putting some miles on her. After that, you know it is just a matter of me plugging in my laptop and a quick call to JA.

BTW- that dyno chart is of an otherwise bone stock car. I'm sure a simple intake and exhaust would wake it up.

Probably just a tune. Maybe a HPFP, maybe not.

From what I've learned, on some tunes, adding a HPFP doesn't raise the max hp very much, but, max hp occurs much earlier, which makes the curve flatten out towards the high rpm side.
About the same hp, just earlier. I kinda like that

I log on to this site for the first time in probably months and see this. Am I the only original Bear MT R left ? Where is Gabe ?
I've toiled with selling mine for 2 years now. But I can't, I still love it, though sometimes i feel it may be a tad loud, I think I'm just getting old.
Good luck with the new one !
See you up at Bear this summer maybe, I still float around up there on occasion.

Sorry about that. When the car was new, the sunroof switch did what I thought was the same thing, and the service dept just pushed the switch back down into place.
