HELP ! VR6 knocking noise ?! scranton NEPA area

so long story short... i am new to VW , i just got the car about a month ago and it has 109k on it with all 100k mile parts changed BESIDES the timing chain ...
i thought i heard a little rattle so i wasnt going to drive it until i got timing chain replaced , so i went out and started it daily and now its a knocking noise sound ? any help ?
i cant figure out what it is and i also need a serp belt

Could be a few things.. first make sure you have enough oil. Without enough oil the timing chain tensioner loses pressure and can cause them to rattle a bit. Could be a sticky valve. Could be a rod knock. Could be an exhaust leak. Just get it checked out to be sure.
