Well, it has been a few years since my rocco got clobbered by a lady pulling out in front of me. Insurance totalled it out, but I found a reasonably straight body down in Vegas and brought it back. Totally stripped my old body out and have been plugging away at putting the car back together. Hopefully it will make it out to the drag strip this year.

I see coil on plug, cable shift trans, short runner 16v, serpentine belt, custom trans mount. What else is going on there? Specs on the motor?

yeah, there's some stuff going on in there.
The motor.... 2.0 ABA JE forged 9A pistons, ARP head studs, rod bolts AST valve springs and retainers. Lightweight flywheel, 6 puck ceramic clutch, 02A with peloquin. Eurovan clutch cable conversion. URST short runner intake, 850cc Deka injectors. Megasquirt 2 fully sequential spark and injection. Audi v8 FSI coils.
H&R lowering springs, Bilstein Sports in front and Koni adjustables in the rear. I had a 57 trim T3/T4 but I am thinking a gt35 will go back in. I have the old style EIP cast tubular manifold with external wastegate
It was a fun car. I have had this thing since 91 with 35k on the clock. I can't wait to get her back on the road.
I am trying to decide what color to paint it again.. Black, toronado red or maybe a nice yellow... what to do...

When I had this car running before, which means it was on a haltec and not really tuned in, it ran a 13.2, this was basically right off the street, street tires and a/c.... I am hoping for a much better time that go around. The motor was fully rebuilt after it dropped an exhaust valve, thrown back into the car with a megasquirt, new harness and a decent tune, but a lady blowing a stop sign brought the whole project to a screaching halt. I didn't even get two weeks or even a thousand miles from getting it started till mayhem...

Now I just need to figure out what color to paint it. Go back to the toranado red, paint it black, or maybe a nice yellow, or some crazy green. decisions, decisions.....

I have never seen a yellow scirocco, it would have to be the right shade yellow, but I dont know which way to go yet.

It looks like Imola yellow is going to win..... I already have the toranado red audi sedan, and black is too much brain damage.... I think Imola yellow is going to work for me.

NO!!!! thats the color I am going to paint my car.
Okay after considering the actual yellow of your picking, even though it would be kick a$$ I'll let you keep it.
I'll go with something off the wall like blurple or something![]()

Can't go wrong with Imola. Imo, its the only yellow. Of course I may be biased.

I thought that shell looked familiar. I almost bought it back in 07 or 08...can't remember but in any case I'm glad it went to someone like yourself. You're certainly going to bring that thing back to a level I would have never been able to. Good work sir...and another vote for Imola from me.

Well,
Chassis is going to the paint shop in the next week or so, should be back with a nice new coat of yellow, either Imola or something close to it...

Scored some Euro bumpers and valance panels. Car is at the paint shop getting some loving. Can't wait to have this car back on the streets.
