2002 vw jetta tdi - 5 speed manual ~125,000 miles - cherry!

Hey All,

For those of you that have seen my Audi 200 TDI for sale on here, I'm going to get rid of another one of my TDI's. 4 is too many for right now, so I'm going to get rid of my Jetta as well.

Per the title, it's a 2002 Dark Blue Jetta TDI just shy of 125,000 miles on the odometer. This is a daily work commuter so it will continue to accrue miles. Fortunately, my commute went from 40miles to 10mins so I can afford to sell this.

I am the second owner of this vehicle.

It's got BEIGE LEATHER INTERIOR with BLACK TRIM. The interior of this car is as close to a 10 as you can get for a 10 year old car. No tears or cracks in any of the leather, no coffee stains on the floor mats, no broken buttons, no broken switches, no nothing.

Heated Front Seats - Power Moonroof - Power Side Mirrors - Everything Functional.

The exterior is a dark blue. I'll look up the exact paint code when I take the pics this Saturday.
I'd rent the exterior an overall 8/10. The previous owner must have had something wrong with the hood because it has been repainted. It's not obvious from a few feet away, but you can certainly tell if you know what to look for.

Otherwise the rest of the body is excellent with no major dents or scratches in it.

Brand new all-season tires on it on factory rims. No moisture anywhere in the trunk. FULL SIZED spare tire with emergency kit.

Engine just had full timing belt job done at ~120.000 miles.
No leaks anywhere, oil or otherwise.

Brake Booster was just changed out :/ That was a huge pain in the ass, but as some of you might know, they seem to develop a crack in the diaphragm of the booster causing all sorts of issues with braking.

Rear left caliper was replaced as the parking brake wasn't returning to position correctly.

Nothing else is needed on this car except another driver


I'll let the pics speak for themselves this weekend. It's a perfect 'turn-key' car for somebody that needs a headache free car.

The biggest blemish on this car is a tiny rust spot on the top of the car on the driver's side. I have no idea on earth what could have happened to chip the paint like that and allow that to happen. It's about a 1/4" long. Depending on how quickly I find a buyer, I'll find a weekend to properly clean and repair that.

I'd go 8000 tops. I got a B5.5 Passat v6 5 speed 105,000 miles. trade straight up. Just had timing belt done and got papers to show it.

Sorry all, been busy at work, and in the meantime did some 'upgrading' of the car.

The suspension was on the way out, so I spent $750 on BRAND NEW STRUTS and H&R Springs from ECS Tuning. This will give the car the sportier ride height and feel of the GLI.

I've also installed BRAND NEW rear bushings. The car rode fine before, but now it's tight and planted as if new from the factory.

Did a bunch of smaller stuff as well...cleaned the injectors, cleaned the stator, tie rod ends, CV boots, etc.

Around town and to/from work (mix of bumper to bumper traffic and regular 70mph cruising) with the A/C on (it's been gross here in the North East these past few weeks) I'm averaging around 40.1 MPG.


I'll post pics of the springs/strut and bearings in the next few days, and I can take a whole new set of pics, as well as a video for you guys.

UPDATE**

Car just recieved brand new windshield.
Was at a local car wash to clean the car up before showing it to a client, and somehow the attendent was able to remove the wiper blade from the wiper arm, causing the spring loaded arm to snap down onto the windshield, cracking it.

They dealt with it through their insurance and replaced it with a brand new windshield two days ago.

First $8000 CASH takes it.
