74 Beetle driver in NC trade for MkI or other diesel

Howdy. I've got a 74 standard Beetle that I got last year for my daily driver. Body has decent-ish paint but is rough & rusty, but solid enough to drive, has rebuilt engine, new brakes, tires, and decently nice interior. Runs mostly great although I still haven't gotten the idle dialed in perfectly on the stock carb. Currently licensed, insured, and on the road with clear NC title in my name. However, I'm tall and have big feet, and it's just not as comfortable to me as my old Rabbit was. Looking to trade for diesel Rabbit or Jetta, or would really love a Dasher or Quantum wagon. Looking mainly for Mk1 stuff but would consider the right MkII. Nothing newer, though. Not looking for anything pretty or shiny, just a halfway decent body and pretty close to running shape. Can throw in some cash to balance things out for a nicer one.
Car is in western NC, 5 minutes off I 40.
