For the benefit of other users, here is a link to Bold Sport. They have a retrofit kit with an Euro switch and control unit for those that want automatic lights. This is standard on SEL but not the rest.
I got mine on order and I will post details once I get it working.

To me, the first option was the most feasible and I am a cheap bastard.

Update - received the kit today. I will install it this weekend. Well, the switch is likely going in tonight. For... uh... testing.

Edit: The switch looks awesome! It lights up like a Christmas tree. i love the new switch, so now I will have to find a way to get the rear fogs going.

Sorry, I didn't post any pics yet because the project isn't complete. I installed the kit but temporarily the photocell is right by the A pillar, just like another forum member posted.
I want to move it to that small plastic cover under the windshield, as I don't have Climatronic and that spot is empty, but I have to pull the radio out and it may be a big job that I don't have the time to tackle right now.

So it works, quite well I might add, but I am not happy with where the sensor is so I will have to move it.

Keep in mind that the windshield used for vehicles with RLS is different form one that doesn't. the black dotted area in the center is shaped to fit around the RLS.

Thanks for the update and letting me know. Once its all done, it'll be nice to see how it looks, and it probably won't be one of my projects for a while. Good luck with the wiring!!

Not much going on... I got complacent and left the sensor dangling on the dash...
I need to build up the courage to remove the radio and see if I can fish the sensor through.

It took a couple-three of weeks or so, almost a month IIRC. In my case, I had a bit of a snag. Like an idiot, when I put in my home address, I missed one digit and the switch went back to HK. Bold Sport was great, they only charged me a bit of extra shipping and re-sent it. It was like a few bucks. What an idiot! You can imagine how p'd I was when I saw what I did. So overall, it took almost two months in my case.

I did the exact same thing, for now. I have to build up the courage to remove the radio and try the little plastic cover deal.
