New Eurovan owner here.
Just picked up my 2001 EV MV for $4950.
Has some issues. Wanted to ask a few questions from the experienced VDubbers on here.

Where to buy parts online?
I had the ABS light come on. When I restarted it disappeared? Common issue? Rebuild of the ABS module?

I had the oil pressure light come on while on the highway. I was about to pull over and it went away. It was on for about 4 seconds and disappeared. I was almost home just just completed the trip. Oil level looked fine.

How are the transmissions?

Any other good sites with DIY threads?

The ABS light could be due to a bad brake light switch. A common point of failure, at least it's cheap and about a five minute job to replace. That was the case with my own '01.

Note the comment "7th revision of this problematic part".

And Europarts SD is a good vendor, I've bought the transmission kit from them a few times.

Only thing with the overseas forums is for drivetrain questions, they generally do not have an abundance of the same engine and transmissions that we got so they might be a bit weak on finding that kind of information there.

For parts, europarts-sd.com IMHO is the way to go for most things. germanautoparts.com has treated me well for past VWs as well as autohausaz.com but they don't specialize in Eurovans as much as europarts-sd does but all are fine vendor.

I don't think any of the above deal much in aftermarket fun stuff though but eurocampers.com does. I've had good experiences with them for those sorts of things.

No idea on your oil pressure light. My '00 did that to me once and did the same sort of thing (went away after I downshifted to get the revs up to increase pressure) and it was fine after that and never came back.

I second the opinion of the ABS light; check your brake light switch. Common failure item. Also the ignition switch (the inexpensive electrical portion) also fails a bit easily but it's inexpensive to replace (but a little hard to get at from what I hear).

Transmissions are delicate though. Treat it as if the internals are made of the finest and most expensive crystal (really!). I just posted this link in another thread re: transmissions:

As a new owner with auto transmission you need to be made aware that oil changes are essential.
If you go to the link that Matt has given you & you open the PDF file "transmission service manual" it says the trans is sealed for life, no oil changes needed or something like that. That has proved to be WRONG!, unless you are happy paying for a new transmission on a regular basis.
