We will be hosting our 3rd cruise to Southern Worthersee this year.

In 2010, we led a small organized cruise with a handful of local enthusiasts that turned into a small adventure: Water and Wagens

Last year, the cruise grew even larger. We were joined by some new faces along with some old ones: Jetta Down

If history repeats itself, then this year will undoubtedly be another cruise to remember.

We have also included scheduled stops along the way. Unfortunately, we cannot stop every few miles to pick up people, so we ask that you organize a cruise down from your area to meet up with us at any of the following areas:

A few things to remember:

Have a Full Tank!

We will be making a gas stop every ~200 miles. Have your cars topped off.

Bring Walkie-talkies with Extra Batteries.

Communication is awesome. C'mon, who doesn't like messing around with walkie-talkies anyway? . We'll be broadcasting on channel 8.

Snacks and Drinks.

Have some Redbull, coffee, soy milk, or whatever keeps you up with you before heading out. Don't drink too much or you will be bursting at the seams if you know what I mean.

No Racing!

We cannot stress this enough. Since there will be a good amount of cars on the road, the last thing anyone needs is an accident. Respect your fellow cruisemates.

This is a cruise designed to get together with old friends and make new ones. We hold camaraderie in high regard. We all stay together and more importantly, no one gets left behind.

Most of us will be leaving Sunday morning, but there are always a couple that stay behind until Monday though.

We are also working on cruise sticker ideas.

Some hotels and cabins in Helen have a check-in time of 2:00pm. Since the cruise should take roughly 13 hours, it avoids having people wait until their rooms are ready.

Another reason is that we will be passing close to metro areas and want to make sure we do not hit any rush hour traffic. Last year there was practically no traffic on the way down.

Believe it or not, that one hour helps a lot.

translation: yes, we had 25+ cars last year and arrived in the afternoon, which isn't bad considering the trip included a rest stop coilpack replacement and leisurely gas stops

I'm hoping to meet up with all of you eventually. We are leaving Baltimore at 4 or 5 am. It sounds like most people from upper MD, SEPA and NJ will be going the same route.
