Nice Rack!
What is the boost gauge you are talking about? Is there a link to it?
#4
Looking good!! No plans on lowering?
Why the phateon dead pedal when you can get the perfect dead pedal to match like this (btw it is not the gti dead pedal)

Thanks, this color is neat it always looks different with lights and shadows
Yeah the rack is sweet!!! I am going to keep everyone in suspense till I get the boost gauge, but once I install it I will post up a DYI link for how to replace the clock and a full review of the gauge. It is being built as we speak. These are some of the build photos and during the build the company figured out how to incorporate the boost and the EGT gauge on the same screen so I won't have to switch between the 2 :-)

I know its build pictures, but 1100F? Isn’t that a bit toasty?
Very nice looking. though my wife would never allow it. The clock will stay.

Please tell me you still have the OEM alloy wheels?
Exactly which wheels are on the car? The A8 replicas or the factory wheels?
<reserving judgement until getting a response>
Speaking of A8 replicas....... If I could pull this off without breaking the bank, I'd do it in a heartbeat...

Awesome! Is this custom made just for you or are you like the beta tester? Will they eventually sell it to all of us? I personally think the clock is hideous and cheap looking so I'm looking to replace it with something better. and yes, we have way too many clocks in the car.

I had the bristol wheels which are up for sale for $700.
These are Audi A8 D3 replicas in 18"
I was thinking about those wheels but i am lazy I don't want to have to clean my wheels all the time
Right now it is being custom made for me and I am kinda the beta tester and helping the company design a gauge that looks just like our gauges in the B7. Hopefully when I am done it won't take nearly as long to personalize the gauge to go seamless in the B7. Much more to come on this![]()

So I installed the phaeton deal pedal yesterday.
The way I installed the deal pedal was:
I cut and removed all the clips but left the 2 alignment pegs. I still had to trim them down and then I drilled 2 holes into the stock dead pedal after I removed it from the car. I scuffed up the dead pedal and the plastic dead pedal and then used a bunch of 3M double stick tape. It fits and looks stock :-)
Today I installed the HPA motor mount:
Removing the stock mount was a giant pain in the but. I had to break out the dremel to remove the stock mount which took me over 45 minutes because I was being extra careful. Installing the HPA mount took less than 5 minutes. I used car soap and the mount slide right in with the use of my dead hammer. The motor mount bolt is not 22mm it's a 13/16 socket fit perfect.
Review of the mount:
The shifts feel wonderful, You really feel the power. Sitting at a light the car shakes a lot, for a comparison it is a little ruffer than my dog bone mount insert from ECS that I had on my 2007 VW GTI. The car sounds like it has a light exhaust after this mount. This mount is not wife approved, but she loves me so it stays.
I got my custom boost/EGT gauge but now I have to install it and I will have to visit a shop to have the bung for the EGT installed.
Hopefully tomorrow I will install the sway bars with my friends.![]()

I saw these boost gauges here, TDIclub OLED boost gauge thread, I was not sure where/how to install them. I will be very interested to see how your install goes. In my Golf I have a boost gauge in my tach, from here; Impconcepts. I find I spend more time checking it out than I thought I would, helps to give me a clue on what the engine is doing.
#22
It goes where the clock goes. I am using stick on felt and foam from Michael's craft store which was $.89 a sheet.
Might be a couple days before it is fully installed. I really need to figure where to obtain boost pressure for the gauge and then I need to a bung welded into the exhaust to get the other part of the gauge.
Matin is really nice to work with and we exchanged many emails to make sure it would be all and them some more :-)

Looks good! I was really hoping the gauge would be the same size as the clock and fill up that whole space.
#25
Yeah i too was hoping it would take up the whole space as I measured it's a 1.5 inch OLED but it is measured like a tv diagonal so it is a little small for it. I am also realizing it is very fragile. Sitting behind the plastic like the clock did caused too much glare and the gauge was hard to see. Once I took it from behind the plastic I could see it just fine.
I will keep this thread updated.....

Why the old firmware style from the CC? did you do the update yourself? The one for the B7 RNS510 has the red audio, green phone, and blue nav screens. Yours has the original black/grayscale CC type screen. What gives?

Car is looking good, did the rear Sway Bar make much of a difference?
Have you had a chance to install the front yet?
![]()

I need to figure out how and where to change this.
I can't wait to install the front sway bar. The rear sway bar was really nice. On quick turns the rear no longer swings out. The rear was easy the front requires to drop the lower subframe, so I need this to installed by a shop.

This might or might not be my next mod. Just this morning I decided to "test out" the limits of adhesion of the Hancooks in combination with the H&Rs.... Hmmmmm... Well, the constant radius off ramp had a posted speed limit of 35, and I took it at 75. Upon exit, still under acceleration.... I felt the rear end start to step out slightly ....almost like it alreay had the rear sway bar installed... The front certainly wasn't pushing. Maybe just a simple case of the transferring of the large mass of a V6 Passat??![]()
