A few friends and myself are contemplating making and perhaps bringing Trikes down to SoWo to enjoy some leisurely mountain runs.. Not main roads.. but from traveling around the area last year there are some serious neighboring towns with serious hills.. If you have no idea.. here is a video.. let me know if anyone has one or is interested in perhaps trying this out..

As a Florida guy, where the highest elevation is the landfill, the thought of trying this, tearing down the mountain 3" off the ground, excites me..

I am attempting to make a disc brake for the front wheel, idk if it is going to work.. other then that is is using your feet and a simple friction brake for stopping..
#15
I would love to get video of this if it happens. Also maybe try it if that's cool haha
#17
Looks bad ass but please do this outside of the city limits of Helen! I want to be able to go back to SOWO next year. Thanks!

Okay so at my local hardware store (Lowes) I bought 4 6" diameter replacement lawnmower wheels (non inflatable). I cut a 6" length of PVC Pipe with a 6"inside diameter. (I know a lot of 6's) Slide 2 Wheels into the PVC, mount it on your axles, spin and make sure they are balanced. Most people use glue or Epoxie to glue the wheels to the inside of the PVC or inflate the tire (not possible). But I got inpatient and countersunk screws though the PVC into the tires to keep it from sliding off. Works like a champ.

Maybe it would be wise to have folks with walkie talkies along the road? I would hate to see something really awful happen.
