Work is taking me to Germany in May and I may have a little travel availability. Will be at Kaiserslautern for the most part. Any suggestions on what to do?

    - I need to research where my beloved Sciroccos were "born"!
    - Any VW ideas appreciated.
    - Plan on sampling the suds every chance I get.

    Thanks.
I'm "jetblast", but no one believed me when I said I moved and no longer had an old e-mail!

    Send a PM to Cortexiphan.

He visits about once a year and has family over there.

dresden was a nice town to visit, lots of history there and alot of old buildings rebuilt (after ww2) using part original stone and part new stone...pretty neat to see.

also, erfurt was nice...the cathedral there is huge.

mmm, outside Goerlitz is a castle thats like, in the sky it seems like, cant remember what its called, but if you get the chance. sorry this is all southeast germany.

frankfurt is great too, more modern

and yes, the beer is good every where you go. it seemed like every town carried the famous brews, as well as their own special one brewed in town! great stuff. great food. great country, can't wait to go back. have fun man!

Spent two weeks there eating good food and drinking good beer. Spent some time traveling from Kaiserslautern to Grafenwhoer, Heildleberg, Mannheim, Weisbeden and didn't see much in the way of Scirocco's (my favorite). Maybe they aren't selling that good? Either way, had a good time and saw some beautiful country.
