hi everyone.after finding the misterious missfire problem in my car (turned out to be a head gasket) i decided to go for a replecement engine.straight on e bay and won the auction and got it delivered to my door.everything is fine untill i found that i havent notice the code and the engine i bought turned out to be the one with coilpack wheres mine is with individual coils.oh dear!silly me! so what do i do now?as far as i can see its almost the same eccept for it has a missing cam sensor and a selenoid for the exhaust cam.are they interchangeable without the head or if i bought-modified the loom and a ecu from aue coded engine would be easier? or can i just put the engine in with the current ecu-loom set up and leave the sensor wires blank and try.finally if i bought an ecu, coil pack and the loom woul i need to re program the key or will it work since my car has its own transponder and key?

    thanks

You have a BDF code 24v engine and you may have purchased an AFP or AAA code 12V engine. You should start over with the correct engine. There are too many differences between the 24V and 12V vr6 engine to make an easy conversion.
