Backstory: I had a emmkay 4 GLI vr6 which I loved and was (oddly) reliable, so I planned on driving it until it died. A friend came to visit from out of town, and we went to the exotic dealerships (Mclaren Philly, Algar Ferrari) and I fell hard for a car at Algar Ferrari. The price was right, the options and modifications were good, so I went for it.

The car has literally every option except an automatic that was offered in 2003. The previous owner (who happens to have placed 2nd in GT class at Barber Motorsports Park a few weeks back) installed the following-
    ZHP front bumper
    ZHP shift knob
    Short shift kit
    M3 steering wheel
    PSS9s
    CSL wheels
as well as some other little things

So im pretty psyched about it to say the least .

Big shoutout to Tony Kasser from Algar Ferrari- seriously if you can afford anything in the F-car range see him, he's the nicest, most genuine dude I have ever encountered in the buisness. He treated me as if I was buying a 599 and set up a crazy financing deal that I couldn't pass up.

Also quick shoutout to Frank Muzo over at BMW Main Line for sticking to the deal that Tony and I discussed.

Beautiful! I love it. The ZHP knob is awesome. I totally transforms most BMW shifters into something half-way decent.

That's really cool. The ZHP bumper and CSL wheels really make that look mean.

    Very nice choice!

It looks like you might have forgotten to take the dead bodies out of the back before snapping these pictures.

    Sweet wagon though.

Thanks dude, when I saw it at Algar it was sitting next to a Vanquish. I think my exact words were "holy s*** look at that wagon!"

325i- it was the biggest motor you could get in a e46 wagon. Not sure if they are reps or not because somebody put serious money into it along the way. The wheels do have ///M badging on them though.

Was at Carmax a few weeks back and spotted one of these E46 wagons, I think it was an '01, 82K miles they were asking $7K for it. Almost took it out for a drive but was turned off by serious dog smell and woven hair in the carpets. Op nice find though, not going to lie I'm a little scared to own any E46 though, everyone I know that has owned one has a horror story about some repairs.

The Financial Lounge will be here soon enough to set you straight. Ferrari owners only pay cash, everyone knows this.

I was making a joke about the fact that it looks a little weighted down in the back since it's seems like it's sitting lower than the front.

I wouldn't worry. If it give you problems down the road, you can offload it pretty easily, and for pretty good money, as long as you maintain it (mechanically) and keep it at least looking as good as it does now. You're not going to lose much if that's the case. Enjoy it. Go do some track days.

I think so, wagons seem to be in and I got a few thumbs up from dubberz on their way back from Show N Go. My work is a corperate sponsor of NJMP- so it will be on the track at some point

They look like the same wheels that I have on my sedan. Nice wagon BTW what suspension does it have? I love the E46 wagons and that looks like a really nice example.

Can't remember what brand the wheels are but they are supposed to be the best reps you can get. The dealer is an E46fanatics member

Bilstein PSS9 coilovers with a laser alignment at a local shop. I have full alignment specs in the glove box but I can say it changes directions just as well as my dads S2k.

I wish Bilstein made the 9s for my car, but they only make PSS, so no damper adjustment for me.

    Nice one!

Is the ZHP shift knob weighted? I put one of these in mine when I ditched the wood trim.

e46 Tourings are getting popular here. I blacked out my window trim this afternoon.

Yep the ZHP is weighted and IIRC its 3/4" shorter than stock. That blacked out trim looks sick! Glad to be a member of the iT club

The car is wired for bluetooth but doesn't have the functionality so I'm hoping that the mediabridge can give me that capability as well as functional ipod integration with the OEM Nav unit. If so, its well worth the $240. Then I'll move on to slotted front rotors and stainless lines. Your car is certainly inspiring though!
