The tune is so far so good A bit more torque on the low end. revving to 7200rpm is cool. The car has to adapt a bit more for me to see the full effect of the tune. Shawn is good just got to see him for 30 minutes.

I had some time today, so I decided to clean up the shifter plate because the original paint VW put on there was chipped and just did not look right. So I peeled off all the paint with my fingers and when to the autoshop to get some stuff.

    I purchased:

    320 grit sanding block
    Painter's Tape
    Semiflat spray paint

I taped the silver trim off with painter's tape and sanded down the white plastic that was underneath the original paint. Then I gave the plate two good coats.

    The plate went from this:

    To this:

A much better and much need improvement. Ill be installing it tomorrow after I give it a good 24 hrs to dry.

Just pull off the black plate by pulling up on it, disconnect the wire connected to it and then push down on the frame that holds the leather boot. I had to push on all four corners of the frame to disconnect from the plate.

The manual boot and plate is a good solution but I find this cheaper and an easier fix

Might as well just peel the paint and leave it white plastic

Trim looks much better. I would have matched it to the coin tray or just did the manual boot trim but it still looks good.
