Honestly man it's hard to say, it's got a mere 92KM on it, but honestly I don't see why anybody would pay that coin for a MK3 Supra... maybe a Mk4.

    I think they meant $4,900, not $49,000.
    I'd give em 4 grand

Lulz at "please do not touch", it's a Toyota not a Rolls.

But this one has POWER LOCKS!!!!!

And honestly- no interior pics... it is probably a burgundy interior and with an automatic (most of the manual versions were "tuned" long ago).

YET , I find it hard to belive that they will get this kind of $$ for it. Might be a typo.

Id make a joke about it being in Canadian dollars but its the opposite now.

I like it. I like these better than the puffed up looking later model Supras. Is it worth $49k? Im sure it is to someone. There are a bunch of cars that are appreciating in value just because they are in showroom condition.
You think you hate it now. Wait til you drive it.

I don't think the 2nd generation Supra will ever be as desirable as the 3rd generation, and that price is absurd (even more so since it's in stronger Canadian dollars).

Yes, Canada is on this continent last time I checked...
MKIV's are well within the 15 year rule.

Here is an unmolested one for $13 000 CAD, with only 63K (KM) on the clock

A few things come to my mind:
I woudn't trust the head gasket since coolant has been stagnant for a while.
I'm sure they run the engine once in a while and without driving it, think of
    carbon deposits.
If that car has been sitting there it's entire life (exposed to the sun everyday),
then the paint will not be in brand new condition.
    Tires have expiration.

I think he is hoping the buyer is on crack, and has just left NYC with all of Nino Brown's money.

If I was going to spend that kind of cash, why not just buy a 370Z, FRS, Camaro, Stang, etc for less?

You are right. Once you overheat this engine it seems to be unrepairable. Met many of people who junked these cars after overheating nightmares that cost major $$$.

I also agree that this car is NOT a sports car , it is way too refined and comfy(and heavy).

I know a few people at this dealership. Not a typo. They may be on crack, but they're getting interested people calling on it.

An unmolested original condition Supra Turbo. Not sure about $50k, but def worth more than 99% of the Supras I actually see on the street.

Interested =/= buyers at this price.
It is probably people calling to see if they really did mean to put that 50k price tag on the ad.

This car mint in super low mileage form is worth... maybe 10 - 15k to the right buyer.
    That's my prediction.
Unless there is some 80's Toyota classic car value craze going on that I don't know about.

An unmolested original condition Supra Turbo. Not sure about $50k, but def worth more than 99% of the Supras I actually see on the street.
And you can buy very good low mileage examples of this gen Supra turbo for ten grand.
There is no way this car is worth 5 times that.

From what I've heard (indirectly) from someone that works at that dealer, is that this car has been sitting in a crate for years, untouched, not started, etc.

Adjusting for inflation, a new 1990 Supra Turbo should cost ~$42,000

You guys realize there is a huge diference between low mileage clean examples to a new, never used, never registred car in the collector market right?

Sure, its got problems due to sitting for so long. But I doubt who buys it think they can drive it out of the lot and daily drive waiting for the first oil change.

Plus, this thing probally has not been broken in yet. Engine must be pretty clean.

Needs new fluids, rubbers, etc etc but its a NEW car. Not a low mileage well kept one.

Either way, 50k is still alot. Maybe 25. Maybe. To the right person. If it was a supra of the gen after that, never registered in NEW condition? 50k is possible.
