Sorry to hear man, I really liked what you were doing to the fit!

Hope the replacement is just as good, if not better.

I'm glad she was honest at least.

One of my coworkers did the same when a woman pulled into his lane without looking. He went off the road and ended up rolling his car. The woman didn't admit anything and my coworker ended up with citations.

If it's another Fit I choose, it will be the same but better. Bilstein coils, 5-lug conversion, etc.

Don't worry, her insurance company will do their best to try and lay some blame on you. I t-boned a chick that turned left in front of me while I was pretty much in the intersection and her insurance company is trying to lay 20% of the blame on me. Hopefully my insurance company can at least get me my deductible back.

I just used my insurance contact when I got it after the car wash dented my car and denied paying. They're very helpful.

That blows! Where did it happen? Any chance the cops let you get in a throat punch to the perpetrator?

From looking at the accident I would say you have some severe neck pain and are in need a settlement check to feel better. This would be good therapy.

McFarland road in Alpharetta. Cops were surprisingly very cool and we bullshat (?) about cars while waiting for the tow truck to physically lift my car out of the spot it rested in because it sank in the ground.

I saw a 2013 Mustang this morning, what a busy looking rear end that would best be hidden by a dark color.

First off, glad you're OK. Sucks you had to trash your Fit.

But with no contact with her vehicle... I'm really curious to hear what her insurer is going to say to you. Even if she was charged with the accident.

All will be answered tomorrow, and I know you'll keep us informed, but don't be surprised if you're in for quite the cluster-fun trying to get this covered by her insurance. I hope I'm wrong, but I definitely see a lawyer in your future regardless...

I'm glad both you and she are alright, and that she was honest about her mistake. Heartbreaking to see that Fit on the flatbed. I've been following your build thread and really love that car. I hope everything gets resolved smoothly and quickly.

Thank you. I appreciate the support. I need to get by my doctor soon as I'm getting more sore and in pain now.

Damn, last thread I look at here last night was a post about your led tails. Sucks that so much went into it and in a short time all the work went to waste. Glad it wasn't any worse though.

If they total it, is there any chance of you pulling parts to either apply to another Fit, or sell?

Damn, that really sucks. But, at least you haave the police saying it's her fault, you weren't hurt, and you didnt kill anybody. Hope the insurance situation is resolved and settled quickly. I know, we'll see another great build. Looking forward to its replacement. Make lemonade out of lemons!!!

I'm glad you could walk away from that. Gotta love decent crash standards and air bags. I walked away from a similar accident a couple weeks back when a dump truck ran a red light.

And the car may be totaled.

You going to buy another white Fit?

It will be totaled. The Fit is the only car I'd consider that doesn't have any let-downs:

    Prius C - Horrible interior
    iQ - Needs a manual
    Boss 302 - nearly 3x the price
    300C SRT8 - nearly 3x the price

Sorry about your car, but I'll +1 what everyone here has been saying: without contact with her vehicle, I would be VERY surprised if her insurance company pays up without giving you a major runaround. Plan accordingly.

So she just magically got a ticket for failure to yield and one for contributing to a collision?

Also has written statement on the police report admitting fault and confirming my story.

Unfortunately, as far as insurance companies are concerned, police report doesn't mean much. Neither does fault admission.

So then why would they request and review the report if it's useless to them?

I wouldn't say it's useless, but it's not the only deciding factor.

I'm definitely curious to see what they say. Good luck, and keep us posted.
