so I have decided I would rather have an mk3 instead of an mk2. so this is now on the chopping block.
86 gti 8v.
not sure on the mileage on the body. engine has around 130k

gutted on the inside...nothing behind the rear seats but the relocated battery (brand new)
mint front seats, door cards, and crack-free dash
Body looks to have been re-sprayed at some point. the paint is in very nice shape.
very little rust on this car. underside is mint! only real rust is around the windshield which is pictured
has some normal dings from regular wear and tear..
has some hail damage on the roof and the hood.
motor runs pretty good with the exception of a slight misfire when the motor is warm and you re-start it. not sure what it is. i havent had a chance to look into it too much as of yet. i think an injector might be partially clogged.
only other issue is the idiot PO cut a hole in the floor and in the body to run the exhaust. exhaust has been fixed and run out the back...but the hole in the floor and the body would need to be patched.
other than that the car is very nice and a great starting point for someone.
i think i really want to get back into an mk3 or another mk2 with a swap of some kind. 2.0 is preferred. otherwise im looking for around $2100 obo
to whoever buys or trades me for this car i have a bunch of extra parts that can be thrown in with it.
located in indianapolis and I am willing to travel within reason.
