I just picked up my first A4 a couple of days ago. I figured I'd post some pictures.

    It's a 1998 1.8T quattro 5 speed.

And a random picture of my mk2 jetta

If you're trying to get rid of those headlights I've got a buddy who will take them off your hands.

At least its better than the halo ebay lights in there now. Those are just black knockoff OEM style ones arent they?

Nope. I got all the brake stuff from TT and bought the brackets for a guy that works there.

Living in the same town as TT and knowing the guys that work there is very helpful sometimes

I got something done on the audi tonight. Bigger brakes. I still need to paint the calipers and brackets one of these days.

I picked these up last night. It was the shadiest deal I have ever been a part of. I though we were going to get killed by the 2 Russian dudes I got them from.

Any suggestions on what size of tires I should run? The car is going to be pretty low and daily driven.
Im not looking for extreme stretch but I will be running some spacers.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Well I got some stuff done on the car tonight. I had 2 pretty bad exhaust leaks, still have another one to fix, that I got fixed tonight. I was pretty amazed what I found. I have what I think is a neuspeed exhaust on the car and this is what somebody used to seal up the joints

The gaskets were way to small so they turned them 90 degrees to make them "fit". As you can see in the picture by the black on the gasket the tube was covered by at least a 1/2".

Some people should not be allowed to work on cars.

I also found out the 2 bolt flanges that bolt the exhaust together are not the best design. They should have used a 3 bolt flange or slip together like the TT stuff.

Im also still looking for some tire size advise.

I think I'm going to raise it up about half inch or so sadly. There is an aftermarket transmission cross member thingy on there that is only about an inch off the ground and bottoms out on big bumps

The 40 sidewalls actually don't look bad at 23.75". Unless it's just the black car hiding the fender gap. Personally I'd leave it, that really won't be affected that much. And it's nothing like a flex pipe which if that comes off is a pain in the ass to replace.
