So today as i helped my buddy swap in his 2.0 16v, i striped red around my aero grill. i think it looks pretty good IMO. Im also looking for small door trim, the really wide thick stuff. anyone know where i can get it?

I would of kept the emblem black. But the rest looks good from here.

I would recommend pin striping tape, its a little more durable and doesn't have any issues with consistency.

yeah i thought about that but isnt it eventually gonna fall off? i thought about taping it off and just using spray paint to
im going for the red as a accent color. since i have the red stripe on bumper, my calipers are going red, my emblems are going red, and the grill stripe. and i have a red vw symbol on my rear windshield

I used the pin strip, its better cause you can remove it easily if wanted.

Stripe tape will hold up to weather better then model paint. Model paint was kinda made to go on something that will sit on a shelf in your house.
Its a good idea as far as looks. I saw another car on here that was like that and wasn't sure if it was stock that way or if they painted it. Always take in to consideration how easy it is to replace the part you are about to modify...just a tip![]()

I found a red pinstriping tape at autozone that is the perfect width for doing mk2 grille and interior.
