Keeping them clean won't be much fun either.

Brake cover is tough. Are yours chrome or aluminum? Thought the OEM ones were aluminum.

No problem to clean and much easier to clean than the stock rubbers ones.

Is there a DIY thread on how to install these? I've been trying to find one.

Not that I am aware. You just need to be patient and work with them. Nothing special other then forcing them on.

Use Windex to help you slide the covers on the metal pads. I also used a dull knife to help get the beads over the edge of the pedals. Kind of like slipping a tire over the rim.
